It was suddenly raining this afternoon, with thunder. A spring shower! Here are my May flowers, off loom now. And, the stacks of damp bee boxes that keep luring my eye.
oh, Velma. You're a sharp-eyed woman with a good memory. Yes, a little different. I was reminded of you and the shifu paper weave when I took the picture of the ivory square
Barb, I hope you like blogging. Yes. I ran out in the yard, thinking something had exploded in Avalanche. I wish I'd seen the fireball.
susan--i lost your email/contact info when my computer crashed last fall--wanted to invite you over to my blog--www.velmabolyard.blogspot.com-- i think i like this years' flowers even more.
Velma, I do visit your inspiring blog, and thanks for the invitation! Sorry you lost my email: it's susan at avalanche looms dot com. & thanks for your flower vote, though, oddly, I think of them as eggs sometimes
Jude, It's playing with the idea of coming- apart: a weaver's fear is that everything held in place will dissolve. Of course, you are playing with the same idea
Hi Susan, thanks for the comments you left about my linen scarves, and for your tips on linen. I don't have a flat iron but I also like to use an electric one pressed hard on linen. I've read that you shouldn't use heat on linen, but I've never noticed it do any harm, so I keep on doing it.
I love your wall hangings with the flowers, and your twill linen. I haven't done twill for ages, I'd forgotten how nice it looks!

I love the flowers! When I see this I wished I had more than one loom, so I could try everything at once....
Giny, I love your words--a weaver after my own heart-- wanting to go in every direction at once
I love the mix of fibers, textures and the warm and cool. So delicate.
