The light this afternoon is golden. It's just 3:15, and the low sun is about to set behind Asbury Ridge. For a few minutes it shines in, right on the Rosepath I'm just weaving, the gold button row, and mine eyes have seen the glory. I'm not kidding, weaving thrills me.

Beautiful weaving - love the colorway, quel riche! I have returned to weaving, my roots for textile art. It is so comforting, nothing like the feeling of making cloth.

I like how everything gets a wash of gold colored light now, because the angle of the sun is so low at the winter solstice. It does make everything look a little bit richer

hey, susan, are you the weaver that had a long, one woven length bag on a blog entry a couple of years ago? it was clever and i thought it was yours, but i can't find it in the archives!
Velma, the "one long strip" bag is a wonder. First seen on Doni's Delis blog, I made quite a few of them, and so did the other weavers out here. There were some real beauties. Lately Carole wove one with extremely ingenious double weave that included a pocket in the straps, and double layer in the body of the bag.
