did you peek inside? walk inside? i would have been tempted, i know, but i do remember the last time i looked inside an abandoned house...it was filled with dead cows! long dead, the hides were stretched over skeletons. shudder and fascinated.
Velma, that must have been shocking, and grisly. Why were the cows in the house? did they die in there? Or, did someone load their carcasses in. I couldn't see inside this house, but it was probably just trash
i think the cows got in and couldn't find their way out. it was a big old farmhouse with many rooms...and the cows were just these giant sculptures, all dried out and scattered throughout the place. sad, but not horrid.

I love that old house...what a shame it is so abandoned.
Hilary, Life was bare bones in the days when this house was occupied. I think someone lived here until about 15 yrs ago. Hard to imagine that.
What a find. Such a beautiful palette!
Alice, I was amazed at the colors, too. There was also a golden weeping willow sweeping its branches in the yard, making the light extraordinary
Great inspiration for your next scarf!
Joanne, it's a great season to harvest color, don't you think?
I wish it could talk.
