Genoa, WI is an old Mississippi River town. It once had two clam shell button factories, and a steam ferry. The tundra swans migrate along the river in November every year. There were 30,000 this year. We went over to the river to see them, and when I came home I wove this scarf.

Thanks for taking us along! I love the scarf and the plumb bob display. Now I want a plumb bob collection!
Valerie, I bought one!
As Valerie said, a plumb bob collection is the thing.. (c: Nice pics.. But the distance is overwhelming.. (c: And there is a flight to... to fly. The Scarf is wonderful!
Thank You Susan for my Beautiful Scarf Creation ! ! !
It lives very well, for tonight, draped over my chaise lounge and looks beautiful and happy. I love admiring it's natural elegance. My mother and I were saying how inspired we are by you and your life of art making! What a glorious life. Looking forward to another visit sometime. Alie
it is wonderful to 'travel' to your part of the world like this, beautiful scarf
Alie, I'm so pleased you like it, and hope you will like wearing it! I look forward to seeing you again.
Saskia, these towns are not fancy, anything but.
Still, I'm glad if you felt like you were along for the ride. In a sense, you were.
Such a beautiful set of images, and an exquisite scarf. Best wishes from a very rainy England.
Thank you, Cathy. The real heartbreaker that day was the marker where Blackhawk and his men, in 1832, tried to surrender to the captain of steamer "Warrior" only to be shot with a cannon, killing 22 Indians "suing for peace"
