Radio

I love my new radio, because I listen a lot while I'm weaving. I made a place for it on the shelf, but then the rest of the shelf was too full of old stuff, so I cleared it off. Then I took down everything pinned to my wall, a ten year accumulation. The counter was full of clutter,  so I cleared that. Next I'm delving into the fabric supply drawers below.  Maybe I'll fill the old pinholes in the wall, and repaint.

Well, I probably won't get that far, but the radio sure makes me happy.

This video also makes me happy:  Lesley Gore with a little help from some girlfriends.

It's still an energizer, and I wish more women would see it.  I watch it at least twice a day, and I sing along! Can't wait to go vote for (no surprise) Obama tomorrow.

Cindie, I'm glad you posted the link. I love how heartfelt it is, and that it didn't take a Super Pac or billionaire money to produce

Barb. Chill. You're not lost. You're the shining light.

Kathryn, Crossing my fingers here....

Marion B. Thank you for approving my radio

Thank-you for the video on you tube, I have posted it on my facebook. I have already voted, perhaps it will take the American women to pull this out.

ligaileDeb, Thanks for reposting it to FB. It's especially important to women who wins this election. I wish, wish, wish women would vote in their best interest. We could definitely win the election for Obama. The healthcare protections of Obamacare (which isn't perfect) is what I'm most worried about losing

Love the video! Thank you. Was it really 1964 that song was released?! Can't believe we're hashing all this out again. Thought it was settled.

Great video.... had me grinning!!
AND looks like our voice was heard..... as of now, Obama has won!!
I would be in a state of bliss..... but it looks like Prop 37 in California is going to lose. A sad sad day this is.
Have you watched the movie "Genetic Roulette" ?

Julie, So weird that Prop 37 was voted down. How did that happen? Why wouldn't people want genetically modified foods to be labelled? What if they want to eat only GMO?

A happy day for me, and women, I think. Obamacare will stand- not perfect - but helps me, and my family and friends. I can count a bunch that are happy about that.

:D
Indeed.... what if people want to only eat GMO!?!
ha ha ha
Luckily for them it's in almost all processed foods.
The initiative lost because the 'enemy' showered them with ad campaigns telling them that their food costs would increase if there was mandatory labeling.
They didn't also tell them that their health would decline.... and that their future medical bills will far outweigh any miniscule price increase now.
A friend in Washington State told me this morning that they are going to put the mandatory labeling initiative on their next election ballot. Hopefully, now that we know how underhanded the anti-GMO labeling people can be, we can fight them more effectively.

Obama re-elected! Yes, I'm glad. I haven't taken down my Obama / Biden yard sign. Just a few more days of it. The people who would have us all live according to their God's Republican party have been given a time out

Susan, I suggest you keep your ignorant political and social comments to yourself. You and the other Obamabots are in for a rude surprise in 2013 when more of the disasterous Obamacare starts to kick in, and the Liar in Chief starts looking not so good. He is still campaigning as we speak (12-12-12) instead of WORKING on the business you idiots elected him to do. Stick to stiching. And at if you are proud that you do not believe in God, keep that to yourself, too.
