Those first summer vacation mornings, when I was 5 or 6, began crossing lawns, in dew soaked tennis shoes, that I had just learned to tie in bow knots, headed across the back yards, to a tree I liked to climb by the Hermann's driveway. I didn't know what the day would bring, but there was nothing but possibility when it began like that. With the same dew wet feet, and the same head on my shoulders today, just a few years on, it's still the same feeling.

Yes, welcome June.
That orange square makes my heart beat faster.
Patrice, yes! It's wonderful to get that feeling again. I wish I could always have it. Though I never liked squishing shoes that much.
Alice, Thanks. We're all here right now, together.
Let's take advantage of every opportunity to know each other a little better, touch each other's hearts if we can!
yes, you've got it exactly right.
Hi! I just found your blog and am a fellow weaver. I'm curious about what kind of loom you generally use. I'm not yet experienced enough to recognize what is possible to weave on my four shaft floor loom and what isn't. In particular, I'm curious about the floating orange rectangle - does this require more than four shafts? Your work is beautiful and I'm glad I stumbled across your site. Thanks!
Kelly,
Sorry, I just saw your question. The orange square is woven on a 4 harness loom. It's an inlay. I usually weave rose path or goose eye. Between each of the pattern wefts there is a plain weave weft. I only weave the pattern weft for a small section across the warp, but the plain weave ground goes all the way across the warp. Hard to explain, but give it a try.
