Catbird

Flew into the glass on the store front door, and was lying dead on the porch in the morning.
I hear them in the trees often, but never see one.  Jean and I paged through the bird book until we found it.  It has a black cap.

True, but so many tiny lifes, too.

These pictures are so sad to see, but at the same time you've managed to capture a special beauty in them.

When the bird is alive, it isn't easy to see the perfect pattern of the feathers, or the textures of the beak, the feet. I love the chance to look close

Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for your lovely letter. I am about to make a post about it now on my textile letters blog.
The embroidery in the background looks really beautiful.

Karina, I'm so pleased you asked me to be a part of your fascinating textile project. I hope weavers will take time to look through the posts.
