bloodroot. oh, bloodroot. here 10 inches or more.
these guys always cut and cut and cut. the cutter here used to wear a label on his hard hat: beaver fox. shudder.

Unfortunately I ended up in a big fight with the assistant town patrol man boss-guy in the ditch, trying to stop them cutting the cedars. Rule of thumb in my life, if I like a tree some men will come and chop them down

men with chain saws should be sent to Mars. My bloodroot is only up 2 inches, no flowers yet.

I haven't seen any bloodroot yet....is it that much warmer in your area of the state??
It is sad to see trees cut down. I do have some neighbors that planted too close to the roads and power lines though and those trees have to go.

Haha, too close to the road, that's what he said....

I'm not going to tear myself up about it anymore. But, if that town guy should ever come to me with his hand chopped off with his own chainsaw, asking me to take him to emergency, I'll say, Sorry, do I know you?

I know the Dalai Lama wouldn't be like this,

Two words? 'Bloody hell!!!!'
It's a sod isn't it, losing trees? I've had to have one taken out of my garden, a gorgeous ash tree. I almost wept, but my garden's so small it was blocking out the light. It was just too big. But I plant trees, not cut them down. It was a hard thing to do. And yes, I'm with you on the A&E scenario! XXX

Your bee hives appear to have been touched by a divine light and are ready to ascend to a higher level. Sweetly done.
