Wisconsin Troubles (Short Form)

I'm hanging out my weaving wash, making a laundry list of disappointments.
We can now definitively say that the Stop Walker button I have been wearing has no magical powers.
Take a deep breath. Take another one. Repeat.

Back to the Laundromat

All to myself, today.  I really like it here.  I use the big machines to wash and finish big projects. This rag runner started 20' long, washed on permapress/warm cycle, $2.25.  The floor tiles are 1ft squares, so I can measure the length after washing, and decide if it should go through a hot drier. The laundrette is clean, well lighted, and compulsively organized--qualities I long for in the rest of my day to day life.

The wall mural documents a washday in yesteryear, painted by a woman I once met.  I've had a lot of time to study it here.

Looks like rain

Bring in the clothes and pick the tomatoes because it looks like rain. In a few months the snow and wind may be blowing, and I'll be chipping ice off the step.
