heartwood

Sunday, in the hayfield, at the loom. It's been a week of snow and weaving. The snow is melting away,  and the rug is almost done.

"a week of snow and weaving" - sounds beautiful, a line from a verse.

Velma, thanks. I'm going to have a small table show at the end of March for Amy Arnold's carved wood figures. The show is called Heartwood, and I wanted to get some pictures for the postcard. These images matched the word,to my mind, but I hoped it would make sense to someone else

Deb, I was actually thinking of Hilary all day
I'm glad you liked my blog efforts.
Blogging is like a pleasant game of solitaire, but I'm happy when someone else checks in

Beautiful. Love how the rug on the loom reflects the photos of your surroundings. Sounds like a perfect week.

Victoria, it often works out that way, not that I consciously pick colors thiat way. This rug is off the loom now, 4 x 9 feet. Now I take it to town to put through a hot, soapy wash cycle,& heavy duty drier
